3 Nigerian Comedians You Did Not Know Have Died


One of Nigeria’s fast-rising Comedian cum singer, John Chijioke a.k.a CD John passed in 2011.

Reports had it that the comedian died in a car crash after his Car, a black gulf, ran into a vehicle on his way to his Jakande estate home in Isolo. John was reportedly on his way back home from the Island after attending the industry nite where he was the host.

He was rushed to St.Nicolas hospital on Lagos Island but died later.

Ugo Matthews


Franklyn Ugo Matthews was an upcoming comedian before his death.

The cause of his death was never made known.

Baba Sala


Legendary Nigerian comedian and actor Moses Olaiya, better known by his stage name Baba Sala died in his sleep on Monday. He was 81.

His son Emmanuel Adejumo, took to Facebook to announce his death writing; "My Daddy is gone. Finally gone home to glory. King of Comedy finally says bye-bye to this world," he wrote.
